The founders wanted to curate a 360 experience for their customers through pairing their quality vegan wines with relevant recipes and music playlist. My goal as the designer was to bring the pieces together to create an identity which would match this unique experience. The goal was to create an identity and packaging designs which would make customers feel like they were getting a travelling experience from home.
Savor’s brand direction and personality can be described as simple, relatable, straight forward, and welcoming.
The goal was to create an overall look and feel which was inspired by the female founders but approachable to anyone. I treated the design like a canvas with its original artwork in the middle. The illustrations come with textures to bring them to life and to keep an organic look and bring forward a feeling of conviviality which embodies the Savor brand. The overall art direction inspiration was derived from Matisse, minimalism, and modern abstractionism.
Colors: the palette was derived directly from sceneries of the wines’ origins (France, Italy, and Spain).
Logo: elegant and delicate typeface which compliments the graphics
Each shape of illustration from all three wines is a specific item from its designated country. Apart from the obvious olives, lavender plant and courgette flowers in the foreground introducing more obvious staple items from each country, the background abstract shapes derive from specific things from its origin:
Italy: lemons and tomatoes - a staple for italian cuisine and the sea as a reminder of the Italian coast sceneries
Spain: cliffs, chili as a staple in Spanish cuisine, corals and seafood
French: the small south of France street “ruelles” as they call it, and the warm Provence sun
